Training for the Sampierana production team

During August, line 3 operators participated in training under the guidance of internal trainers and external providers. The course of 40 total hours alternated between classroom training online training and project work.

The theme of quality and continuous improvement in the manufacturing area is the focus of these training courses designed for our production team.

Divided into groups, workers created small teams grappling with solving different problems proposed by the trainers.

In the Cesena plant, the trainers delved into the proper use of wrenches and electric screwdrivers along with handling critical issues in the absence of these tools.

On this occasion, the production team had the opportunity to test themselves in the assembly of the new Eurocomach-branded electric model: the 25X.

The goal is to continue to create and provide space for these moments of training and growth for the entire Sampierana team already looking toward the future.

Women Academy: Sampierana and the women of the area

From July 3 to 14, we kicked off at our San Piero headquarters the Women Academy program aimed at nine women who have joined our production lines.

The idea stemmed from a desire to embrace the theme of diversity inclusion, combined with the need to include labor on the assembly lines at the San Piero facility. The girls involved in the project come from fields of expertise other than engineering, with the main background being in the food sector.

Valeria Barilà, HR Recruiter and Administration at Sampierana, tells how the Women Academy project came about:

We noticed that the CVs we received for positions as production line workers were from women with different work backgrounds than usual. At that point came the idea of starting with those who still had the willingness to get involved, preparing specific training programs. So we provided our staff and all the tools at our disposal to help newcomers introduce their skills even in a different field. In addition, we also pursued another important goal: the enhancement of resources in the area.

The idea of creating a series of pre-work training aimed at women to pass on notions and techniques related to excavator production has proven successful.

They are almost all local women, an added value for us and for the company that continues to offer opportunities to those who inhabit this area through a continuous focus on issues of diversity and inclusion.

We decided to talk about the project through a series of interviews with the people involved that will be shared on our social channels.
